Responsibilities
- Hire, coach, and grow a small team of high-performing engineers.
- Develop staff and principal engineers who carry technical standards into other teams.
- Build the platform used by the engineering organization, including developer platforms, deployment pipelines, observability, and developer tooling.
- Automate infrastructure as code on Kubernetes and AWS using Pulumi, cdk8s, and ArgoCD.
- Build agent execution harnesses with sandboxing, audit trails, and rollback for systems that move real money.
- Set engineering standards for reliability, operability, and architectural coherence.
- Sequence quality work that enables teams to continue shipping quickly over time.
Requirements
- 12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading teams.
- Hands-on builder who writes clean, well-tested code and has designed and shipped systems end to end.
- Experience developing staff and principal individual contributors.
- Experience operating consequential infrastructure.
- Strong systems judgment and a clear point of view on infrastructure quality.
- Experience designing infrastructure as a product for engineers.
