Staff Enterprise Technology Administrator, Engineering Systems

Responsibilities

  • Administer the PLM platform end to end, including configuration, lifecycle and workflow states, user and license management, access controls, availability, performance, and security.
  • Own the PLM item/part master and part-numbering framework, including classification, attributes, and revision control.
  • Configure and govern engineering and manufacturing bills of materials (EBOM/MBOM), including EBOM-to-MBOM transformation and downstream ERP and production structures.
  • Administer engineering change workflows (ECR/ECN/ECO), including routing, approvals, and business rules.
  • Own and maintain PLM-to-ERP integrations for item, BOM, and change data; monitor synchronization health and troubleshoot failures.
  • Own CAD data management and CAD-to-PLM integration, including check-in/check-out, file relationships, and released-data control.
  • Manage PLM upgrades and patches, including impact assessments, regression testing coordination, and sandbox-to-production promotion.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Inventory, Quality, and Accounting leadership to translate business requirements into technology direction.
  • Drive PLM process and configuration improvements, data cleansing, reconciliation, and product-data quality.
  • Own the PLM ticket queue in Jira and resolve issues, bugs, access requests, and change requests according to SLAs.
  • Lead the multi-year Engineering Systems technology roadmap, including build-versus-buy evaluations and modernization initiatives.
  • Mentor Enterprise Technology administrators and share platform knowledge.
  • Develop system documentation covering configurations, customizations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Design and deliver PLM training for engineering and manufacturing users.
  • Maintain relevant PLM certifications and complete required training.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems administration, business systems, PLM, or engineering data roles.
  • 4+ years of hands-on PLM administration or implementation experience with Teamcenter, Windchill, Arena, or a similar platform.
  • Experience owning a platform domain end to end and driving multi-year technology roadmaps.
  • Experience with platform strategy, build-versus-buy decisions, or integration design.
  • Working knowledge of product-development and manufacturing processes, including BOM management, engineering change control, item/revision management, and EBOM-to-MBOM handoff into ERP.
  • Understanding of PLM-to-ERP integration for item master, BOM, and change data.
  • Strong written, verbal, and in-person communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and seek input on novel or ambiguous situations.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Siemens Teamcenter certification or equivalent enterprise PLM certification.
  • EBOM/MBOM management and released-data control in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Enterprise ERP administration or integration experience.
  • CAD tools and CAD-PLM integration, including SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD Electrical, or Eplan.
  • Workato, MuleSoft, or other iPaaS experience.
  • Product-data governance experience in a SOC 2 or similarly regulated environment.
  • Experience scaling PLM at a high-growth manufacturing or infrastructure company.
