Senior Full Stack Engineer, App Runtime
This senior engineer will build and shape Snowflake’s App Runtime platform, delivering AI-assisted web application development and deployment experiences across frontend and backend systems. The role requires 5+ years of full-stack or frontend development experience, strong web architecture expertise, and hands-on technical leadership.

Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted, agentic development experiences for App Runtime across React, Go, Python, and Java.
- Author technical and design specifications that consider frontend and backend systems holistically.
- Implement critical code and remain deeply hands-on.
- Partner directly with developers building Snowflake Apps to translate customer needs into product improvements.
- Improve quality, reliability, and performance through code review.
- Mentor engineers.
- Coordinate with teams including Cortex AI, Container Platform, and Security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience, including significant frontend or full-stack software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing, shipping, and operating high-scale systems.
- Deep understanding of modern web application architecture, including React and Next.js.
- Strong API design, security, performance, and scalability knowledge.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript; ideally also Go, Python, and/or Java.
- Strong communication skills, including crisp technical writing, constructive debate, and consensus-building across engineering, design, and product.
Nice to Have
- Experience shipping 0-to-1 products while balancing feature completeness and time to market.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems, particularly app hosting platforms or developer tooling.
- Strong isolation and security-first design experience.
- Technical leadership experience as an architect or tech lead for high-impact customer-facing products.
Compensation
- Annual salary: 245250–295250.
