- Lead a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining the
help.okta.comanddeveloper.okta.comcontent sites. - Lead adoption of AI across the team’s day-to-day deliverables to improve stakeholder productivity, quality, and speed.
- Work with Doc Tools leads to develop and implement the roadmap.
- Recruit, mentor, retain, and develop engineers.
- Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for individuals and the team.
- Collaborate with Doc Tools leads to deliver projects on the Builder Experience roadmap.
Requirements
- Experience managing software engineering teams with end-to-end ownership of their technical stack and production performance.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Claude.
- Experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, CircleCI, Vercel, and Artifactory.
- Ability to lead geographically distributed teams.
- 10+ years of experience as an engineer with significant frontend experience.
- 3+ years of experience building and leading a team of engineers.
- Deep understanding of at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- 3+ years of technical management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with a documentation team.
- Knowledge of DITA, documentation tools, and writer processes.
- Localization experience.
- Opinions and experience regarding build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and technical debt.
- Comfort working autonomously and executing with urgency.
