Responsibilities
Program/Project Management
- Manage key engineering projects, programs, and initiatives from initiation through closeout.
- Provide regular status updates across internal channels and to all organizational levels.
- Define program charters, plans, schedules, metrics, and objectives; drive execution and report on PMO KPIs.
- Drive product representatives to provide timely direction and requirements.
- Lead cross-functional engineering and validation teams.
- Ensure coordination and communication across teams.
- Understand and communicate complex technical and engineering issues.
- Identify and resolve conflicts and issues efficiently.
- Surface and mitigate risks or defects; lead technical task forces for risk response and issue resolution.
- Manage interdependencies across platform, SRE, QA, and other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
- Develop solutions, remove obstacles, and balance cost, quality, and delivery priorities.
- Collaborate with product management, data analytics, enablement, and support.
Process Improvement
- Model project management processes.
- Provide feedback and recommend process enhancements.
- Align stakeholders and team members with project management best practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a technical position such as software engineering, quality engineering, or platform engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in technical project or program management.
- Experience with software project management is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Agile and waterfall project or program management.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Trello.
- Ability to lead large, complex initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Ability to introduce structure in volatile conditions and clarify vague goals and requirements.
- Proficiency using AI LLMs and AI agents.
- In-depth knowledge of program management technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to work with senior leadership and lead organization-wide engineering, product, design, and security initiatives from start to finish.
- Ability to facilitate discussions with engineering subject-matter experts on system design, data architecture, infrastructure management, cost management, and quality in engineering operations.
- Ability to use AI to increase productivity and improve solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong collaboration, planning, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to address technical issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Ability to align team members with program goals and objectives.
- Calm and professional approach in difficult situations.
