Fab Software Engineering Intern
Build full-stack applications, tools, and infrastructure for a software-defined semiconductor fab, including systems that control fabrication equipment and analyze process data. The internship requires strong programming skills, systems fundamentals, a project portfolio, and pursuit of a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent ability.

Responsibilities
- Develop frontend and backend data-driven applications to run a semiconductor fabrication facility.
- Build software for sequencing and controlling fab operations.
- Create tools and infrastructure supporting semiconductor process development and fab operations.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or demonstrating exceptional software engineering ability.
- Strong programming skills in Rust and Go or TypeScript, with a willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of systems fundamentals, including memory, performance, and concurrency.
- Experience building substantial software projects from scratch.
- Interest in databases, visualization, or data-processing pipelines.
- Portfolio demonstrating software engineering work and projects built; GitHub portfolios are acceptable.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Figma, Blender, CAD tools, KiCad, or scientific computing environments.
- Familiarity with schema evolution, database migrations, or Protobuf and other serialization formats.
- Understanding of collaborative or distributed systems, including CRDTs, operational transformation, or WebSockets.
- Exposure to advanced 2D/3D visualization, simulation, or novel user interfaces.
Compensation and benefits
- Hourly compensation equivalent to an annualized range of $114,000–$131,000, depending on experience and education; actual earnings vary with hours worked.
