- Lead an engineering team and grow its scope over time.
- Hire, coach, and develop engineers while fostering ownership and pride in shipped work.
- Shape technical direction with Product and turn broad ideas into focused execution.
- Set the technical bar and protect system quality through hands-on leadership or by empowering tech leads.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience and 2+ years leading engineering teams.
- Experience building and operating infrastructure for real-world, customer-facing web applications.
- Experience building and using AI-powered products in production.
- Proven collaboration with product managers and designers on infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong judgment in technical tradeoffs and experience navigating ambiguity.
- Leadership through influence, alignment, and developing others.
- Director-level candidates must have experience managing managers.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and product intuition.
Compensation & Benefits
- Total target cash compensation: $279,000–$377,000 USD, including base and variable compensation.
