Senior Machine Learning Manager, Video Ranking

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for feed relevance, aligning machine learning solutions with product and business objectives.
• Coach and develop a team of machine learning engineers.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, set expectations, and communicate the team’s work.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of relevance, discovery, and content distribution systems.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on next-generation AI-powered solutions.
• Maintain high standards for system performance, reliability, efficiency, and responsible AI practices.
• Partner with recruiting to attract, interview, and hire machine learning engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and managing high-performing machine learning teams.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale production machine learning systems, including transformer-based architectures, sequence models, or large language models.
• Strong understanding of recommender systems, including candidate retrieval, ranking, value modeling, ecosystem dynamics, and measurement strategies.
• Ability to develop and communicate technical strategy aligned with broader company objectives.
• Passion for scalable, well-designed, and responsible AI solutions that drive business value.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: $266,000–$372,400 USD.
