Staff Product Manager, SAP

Leads product strategy and delivery for Databricks’ SAP platform, including AI-powered finance automation, SAP data integration into the lakehouse, and governance. Responsibilities

  • Own the SAP and intelligent automation strategy, product vision, roadmap, implementations, platform evolution, and business-process transformation.
  • Design and deploy AI-powered agentic workflows on SAP, partnering with engineering and data teams on orchestration, retrieval, and guardrails.
  • Define requirements for ingesting SAP data into Databricks, including semantic and master-data modeling, lineage, and governance.
  • Serve as product owner for backlog management, acceptance criteria, prioritization, release planning, readiness, cutover, adoption, and change management.
  • Lead the SAP domain across BTP, Integration Suite, and surrounding non-SAP systems.
  • Define and measure success metrics such as process cycle time, touchless transaction rate, automation accuracy, adoption, close efficiency, and cost to serve.
  • Align Finance, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and senior leadership around the product vision and roadmap.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management or product ownership experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise ERP initiatives at scale, including a large SAP implementation, S/4HANA migration, or major module rollout.
  • Deep SAP expertise and experience with record-to-report, source-to-pay, or order-to-cash processes and master data governance.
  • Hands-on experience or strong technical understanding of agentic automation, LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of SAP data extraction and modeling, data pipelines, semantic layers, analytics, and AI data preparation.
  • Ability to own a product domain end to end and connect automation outcomes to finance and operations goals.
  • Knowledge of SAP authorizations, segregation of duties, SOX, audit requirements, and enterprise governance.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and collaborate with engineering teams to build applications from scratch.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing custom applications or automation layers on Databricks or other data platforms alongside SAP.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP, AI Core, and build-versus-adopt decisions involving Databricks-native approaches.
  • Hands-on knowledge of OData, REST APIs, CDS views, and Datasphere.

Compensation

  • Zone 1 pay range: $172,200–$236,850 USD.
  • Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
