Senior Product Designer
Senior product designer owning a consumer mobile product space end-to-end, from discovery through post-launch iteration, while shaping design systems and influencing the roadmap. Requires 6+ years of experience, strong product-design craft, mobile expertise, written communication, and cross-functional leadership.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own a product space end-to-end, from discovery through launch and post-launch iteration.
- Turn ambiguous problems into sequenced, executable bets and align stakeholders on the problem before the solution.
- Set the craft bar and communicate quality and tradeoff decisions clearly.
- Shape and evolve design systems, including promoting, unifying, or deprecating patterns and partnering with engineering to ship components.
- Choose appropriate design methodologies for speed, learning, quality, and regulated fintech constraints.
- Influence the roadmap by connecting design decisions to business strategy and identifying design-led opportunities.
- Build cross-functional alignment with product management, engineering, brand, research, and leadership.
- Write and present clear narratives that move work forward.
- Mentor mid-level designers and model expected standards.
- Improve design rituals and processes, including critiques, kickoffs, retrospectives, onboarding, and hiring.
- Create documentation, frameworks, and processes that increase design-team leverage.
Requirements
- 6+ years designing consumer digital products.
- Demonstrated ownership of an entire product space rather than individual features.
- Portfolio showing design craft, reasoning, exploration, tradeoffs, and post-launch outcomes.
- Experience building, evolving, or deprecating design-system patterns at scale.
- Experience partnering with engineering to ship design-system components.
- Range across visual, interaction, and content design.
- Native mobile product-design experience.
- Evidence of mentorship, critique leadership, or process improvements adopted by others.
- Strong written communication, including documentation and asynchronous alignment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, with judgment about when speed is inappropriate.
- Fluency using AI for prototyping, exploration, and production workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, lending, credit, regulated consumer products, or other highly constrained domains.
- Experience designing for a multi-brand portfolio or launching a second product alongside an existing one.
- Motion, prototyping, or front-end literacy.
- Experience working closely with an embedded UX researcher.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $180,000–$220,000 annually.
- Potential eligibility for bonus and equity programs.
- Company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents from the first day.
- Up to $100 monthly fitness reimbursement or complimentary Life Time Fitness or Equinox membership.
- 401(k) with a 3.5% company match and immediate vesting.
- Meal program for lunch and dinner.
- Pre-tax benefits, including a $1,000 HSA match.
- Life and accidental insurance.
- Flexible paid time off.
