Requires 8+ years of relevant experience, mission-critical equipment expertise, and strong cross-functional execution skills.
About the job
Responsibilities
Delivery Planning and Schedule Integration
- Own end-to-end owner-furnished equipment (OFE) delivery plans for data center sites, including order placement, engineering approvals, production slots, factory acceptance testing (FAT), shipping, and required-on-site dates.
- Integrate equipment milestones with general contractor construction schedules.
- Set delivery expectations, sequence arrivals, identify risks before purchase orders are issued, and lead site-level OFE kickoff meetings.
- Maintain a portfolio-wide tracker of equipment line items, milestone dates, and risk ratings.
Supplier Execution and Escalation
- Run weekly delivery reviews with OEMs and integrators, validating production progress against committed dates.
- Escalate factory slips, component shortages, FAT failures, and shipping delays; drive recovery plans involving expediting, partial shipments, resequencing, and alternate sources.
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing on supplier escalations and provide site-level schedule intelligence.
- Hold contractor teams accountable for receiving, storage, and installation readiness; manage related changes and claims.
Logistics and Site Readiness
- Coordinate transportation for oversized, overweight, and high-value equipment, including carrier selection, route surveys, permits, crane and rigging coordination.
- Manage laydown, staging, and interim storage when site readiness and equipment arrival do not align.
- Coordinate receiving inspection and storage requirements with Quality and Commissioning.
- Ensure equipment arrives complete with accessories, spares, documentation, and vendor startup support.
Risk Management and Reporting
- Identify, triage, and report delivery risks across the project portfolio and drive decisions that protect capacity milestones.
- Lead recurring capacity delivery reviews with leadership visibility by site and equipment category.
- Track delivery KPIs including on-time-to-required-on-site performance, schedule drift, escalation cycle time, and expedite spend.
- Feed lessons learned into sourcing and construction processes.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in supply chain delivery, equipment expediting, construction management, or infrastructure program management on large-scale, schedule-driven construction programs.
- Hands-on experience delivering mission-critical power and/or cooling equipment such as transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, busway, chillers, CDUs, and air handlers.
- Experience leading cross-functional escalations across construction teams, suppliers, and internal partners.
- Ability to read and influence construction schedules using P6 or MS Project.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Data fluency, including building and maintaining trackers and dashboards.
- High autonomy and ownership in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Hyperscale or AI data center construction and OFCI delivery-model experience.
- Experience supporting 5–10+ concurrent projects across a regional portfolio.
- Knowledge of FAT, site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning workflows.
- Heavy-haul and project logistics experience, including international freight, customs, and Incoterms.
- Technical understanding of data center electrical distribution and cooling system design.
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems and analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, or Procore.
- PMP, CSCP, or similar certification.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $320,000–$405,000 USD.
- Travel of up to 40% to construction sites and supplier factories may be required.
- Hybrid policy generally requires staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time.
