Tax Preparer
Prepares and reviews U.S. federal and state business tax returns under the supervision of a CPA, while advising international clients and handling tax inquiries. Requires PTIN eligibility, business tax preparation experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with relevant U.S. tax forms.

Responsibilities
- Work with the CPA to provide tax guidance and service to clients worldwide.
- Collaborate with team members to timely and accurately file tax returns during tax season.
- Communicate with clients to answer tax-related questions and inquiries.
- Manage client inquiries throughout the year, including webcam or phone calls as needed.
- Prepare tax calculations, input data, and research information needed to resolve filing questions.
- Input client data into federal and state tax returns for CPA review.
Requirements
- Active PTIN or the ability to obtain one before tax season.
- Comfortable communicating with coworkers, managers, and clients in a telework environment via webcam.
- Experience preparing and reviewing federal and state business income tax returns.
- Experience preparing quarterly estimates and handling tax notices and disputes.
- Familiarity with Forms 1120, 5472, and 1065.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment and navigating ambiguity or changing priorities.
- Strong critical-thinking, reasoning, emotional-intelligence, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Effective written and oral English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active CPA or EA, or plans to obtain one.
- Experience researching United States tax information.
- Familiarity with Intuit tax products.
- Familiarity with Wave, QuickBooks, or other small-business accounting software.
