Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end to end, including GL operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews under US GAAP.
  • Research and document technical accounting positions across revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combinations (ASC 805), and internal-use software (ASC 350-40).
  • Communicate accounting conclusions clearly to executives and non-accountants.
  • Lead financial reporting, support external audits, and build the internal controls framework as the company scales.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across domestic and international entities.
  • Scope and implement accounting systems, ERP tools, and automation to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Partner with legal, product, and business development on product launches, monetization changes, and M&A activity.
  • Define and document accounting policies for crypto-native platform activity.

Requirements

  • Active CPA license required.
  • 8–10 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including high-growth private companies and public company environments.
  • 3 or more years of Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep technical GAAP knowledge, including researching complex topics, writing clear memos, and explaining conclusions to non-accounting audiences.
  • Experience leading a close process in a high-transaction-volume environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Familiarity with modern finance tools such as Ramp, Brex, or a modern ERP.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to build and own financial models.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with crypto accounting or digital asset platforms.
  • SQL skills or willingness to learn.
  • Experience with international accounting, multi-entity consolidations, or M&A transactions.
