Value Consultant
First dedicated Value Consultant at Ashby responsible for building the value selling motion, leading executive-level impact assessments on strategic deals, and enabling SE and CSM teams on value realization.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Ashby's impact assessment process — improve tools, refine methodology, and ensure every assessment is compelling, credible, and customer-specific
- Define Ashby's value selling motion — build frameworks, templates, and messaging that Solutions Engineers use across the sales funnel
- Lead executive-level value conversations on strategic deals — bring the business case to life for decision-makers
- Enable SE and CSM teams — run training, create resources, and serve as the internal subject matter expert on value consulting
- Partner with Customer Success on value realization — help customers connect expected outcomes to actual results post-implementation
- Test and refine messaging on larger deals using strategic opportunities as a proving ground
Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated value consulting or value engineering experience in SaaS
- Strong builder mindset with ability to create structure and operate with significant autonomy
- Ability to think in outcomes, not features, and quantify business impact for both CFOs and Heads of Talent
- Experience enabling others through coaching and training
- Exceptional communication skills for executive-level conversations
- Genuine empathy for Talent Acquisition teams and understanding of recruiting workflows
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with SEs, CSMs, and product teams
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience as a Solutions Engineer or management consultant
- Familiarity with HR tech or Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience building or improving impact assessment tooling and processes from the ground up
- Track record of tying value consulting work to measurable revenue or retention outcomes
