Responsibilities
- Manage high-performing teams of 9+ engineers and managers, with accountability for complete end-to-end delivery.
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and documentation of engineering solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices and operational excellence using product, engineering, and Scrum metrics.
- Coordinate dependencies, expertise sharing, and deliverables with other engineering teams.
- Partner with Product Management, business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to set priorities and deliver products.
- Work with senior leadership to define future product roadmaps.
- Participate in hiring and build high-performing agile teams.
- Mentor and coach team members and support their growth.
- Manage requirements with business owners and technical teams across global locations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building products, focused on cloud-based, high-performance systems.
- 7+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Experience leading teams of 9+ engineers or managers and owning end-to-end delivery.
- Strong stakeholder and program management skills.
- Extensive experience building distributed systems and cloud services.
- Experience operating cloud-distributed systems in production for 2–3 years.
- Experience creating scalable, distributed middle-tier cloud services.
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, REST APIs, integrations, object-oriented design, and common design patterns.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and code quality platforms.
- Experience in CI/CD development environments and tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong hands-on development skills for prototyping technical solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, facilitation, consensus-building, influencing, and persuasion skills.
- Willingness to learn emerging technologies and adapt to change.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Golang, or Python.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience developing large-scale data platforms and cloud data warehouse products.
- Experience with GCP DevOps.
Compensation
- Salary range: $233,000–$280,000.
