Business Travel Consultant

Provides multichannel support for corporate and leisure travelers, handling complex bookings, ticketing, and itinerary issues. Requires at least five years of business travel booking experience, advanced Sabre or Amadeus expertise, and fluency in German.

Responsibilities

  • Assist travelers with best-in-class support through chat, phone, and email.
  • Maintain extensive supplier, destination, and system knowledge.
  • Analyze customer needs, personas, and urgency quickly and accurately.
  • Provide accurate information for hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings.
  • Support users with self-service on the Navan platform and app where possible.
  • Respond to customers within SLA expectations.
  • Follow company and customer travel and expense procedures, policies, and global compliance requirements.
  • Provide stakeholders with regular feedback on goals and key operating processes.
  • Participate in team meetings covering product launches, supplier updates, and industry changes.
  • Build travel industry knowledge and maintain a high standard of travel support.
  • Complete assigned training and meet attendance requirements.
  • Meet individual performance metrics supporting organizational and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing bookings for corporate and leisure clients in a core business travel environment.
  • 3+ years of advanced Sabre or Amadeus GDS experience, including ticketing, reissues, voids, cancellations, EMD and MCO issuance/reissuance, and PNR management.
  • Experience with local-market supplier content and booking practices in ARC and BSP markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex itineraries, air fares, and fare construction calculations, including nett fares, IT fares, route deals, and corporate negotiated fares.
  • Full understanding of travel industry regulations and worldwide compliance requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Fluency in German is mandatory.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with NDC, low-cost carriers, and third-party content aggregators and their booking management practices.
  • Fluency in languages other than English.
