Solutions Architect
The Solutions Architect will guide Portuguese customers through technical discovery, architecture, proofs of concept, and adoption of Databricks’ data platform. The role requires coding experience, big data and public cloud expertise, Portuguese and English fluency, and hybrid availability in the Madrid region.

Responsibilities
- Form successful relationships with clients throughout Portugal, providing technical and business value in collaboration with Account Executives.
- Act as an expert in big data analytics and trusted advisor on architecture, design, and implementation to drive successful adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Develop and scale reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications.
- Build the Databricks community in the region by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
- Grow technical and/or industry specialization.
Requirements
- Engage customers in technical sales, challenge questions, guide clear outcomes, and communicate technical and value propositions.
- Develop customer relationships and internal partnerships with Account Executives and other teams.
- Prior coding experience in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala, with willingness to learn Apache Spark.
- Proficiency with big data analytics technologies, including hands-on experience delivering complex proofs of concept and using public cloud platforms.
- Experience with use-case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to audiences with varying technical depth.
- Based in the Madrid region within commuting distance for a hybrid schedule.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50%, primarily for customer meetings in Portugal, events, and training.
- Native Portuguese proficiency and business fluency in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
