The Senior People Business Partner will lead strategic People initiatives for the Pune office, coach leaders, manage complex employee relations, and adapt global programs for APAC. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary strategic People partner for the Pune office, aligning performance management, compensation reviews, and organizational design with business ROI and regional scale.
- Coach local managers and directors, identify leadership capability gaps, and develop junior managers' executive presence, commercial awareness, and autonomous decision-making.
- Break down silos between R&D, GTM, and G&A while collaborating with Global People Business Partners across time zones.
- Manage end-to-end employee relations, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and complex investigations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in sensitive employee matters.
- Ensure local practices comply with India employment laws while maintaining company standards.
- Use data to identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable, process-driven solutions.
- Translate global People initiatives for the APAC region and drive cultural adoption without compromising global standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a People Business Partner role, ideally in a high-growth, globally matrixed B2B SaaS, FinTech, or WealthTech company.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect talent initiatives to ARR, product delivery, and go-to-market execution.
- Up-to-date expertise in India employment law and compliance.
- Experience handling sensitive employee relations issues with empathy, legal rigor, and professional judgment.
- Confidence to challenge senior leaders respectfully, influence without authority, and guide the business toward scalable investments.
- High integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively improve the employee experience.

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role requiring work from the Pune office three days per week.
