Responsibilities
- Design and build Dynamic Tables capabilities with a globally distributed team of engineers and Product Managers.
- Design, implement, support, and evolve new features and performance improvements.
- Help shape technical and product direction with senior teammates.
- Break ambiguous problems into manageable parts, evaluate tradeoffs, and make technical and product decisions.
- Analyze and solve performance, correctness, and fault-tolerance challenges at scale.
- Investigate unfamiliar areas of a large system to identify root causes and resolve problems.
- Ensure operational readiness and meet customer commitments for reliability, availability, and performance.
- Understand customer use of Dynamic Tables to guide product development.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience designing and building database internals or data-intensive systems, or equivalent research experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Experience taking problems from open questions through production software.
- Proficiency with AI-native software engineering and agentic development workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Willingness to collaborate, mentor, and learn in a team environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with query compilers, query optimizers, or database internals.
- Experience building enterprise-grade, reliable, and trustworthy software or services.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems, transactions, and consistency models.
- Contributions to open-source data infrastructure or database systems.
