Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance & Strategy and business leaders to drive Stripe’s long-term success.
- Work cross-functionally to identify important strategy questions and answer them with data.
- Build financial forecasts and targets, track performance, and understand deviations from actuals to drive strategy and operational rigor.
- Develop deep knowledge of Stripe’s business performance across geographies and user segments.
- Define metrics and leading indicators of business performance.
- Partner with the Analytics team to develop tools and dashboards that make metrics widely accessible across Stripe.
Requirements
- 7–14 years of experience in a relevant analytical or finance role.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of SQL or Python, with experience working with extremely large and complex datasets and extracting insights.
- Experience with financial analysis, financial forecasting, BvA (variance analysis), and other financial concepts.
- Experience working on ambiguous problems and driving solutions or projects independently.
- Ability to automate and use AI to streamline recurring tasks and analyses.
- Experience building dashboards and data visualization tools from scratch.
- Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships with business partners and department leads and serve as a trusted, objective advisor.
- Self-starter with an enthusiastic, hands-on approach and the ability to drive business results without significant supervision.
- Experience working globally across regions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a strategic finance function at a high-growth technology company, preferably in payments or fintech.
