Team Lead, International Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own statutory accounting, filings, and reporting for assigned international entities in compliance with Local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Perform and review Local GAAP-to-US GAAP reconciliations and prepare financial statements under local regulations and company policies.
• Serve as primary contact for statutory auditors; manage audit timelines and prepare or review supporting schedules.
• Manage regulatory and government filings, including statutory surveys.
• Review intercompany transactions, reconciliations, recording, and settlement across assigned entities.
• Review payroll journal entries and reconciliations and partner with HR and Payroll on statutory compliance matters.
• Support and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Coach, review, and support Staff Accountants.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation.
• Analyze and reconcile large data volumes in Excel from internal systems and the general ledger.
• Support special projects, reporting, and analysis requests.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and Local GAAP, including statutory reporting and audits for multiple entities.
• Experience coaching, reviewing, or managing junior team members.
• Ability to analyze large-scale data, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Clear communication and strong written and formal presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, results-focused, collaborative, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in an international business environment.
• Willingness to work U.S.-aligned shift hours during critical close periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with statutory reporting and audits in a multinational, GCC, or shared-services environment.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Coupa, FloQast, Tableau, or equivalent systems.
• Experience preparing or overseeing intercompany or payroll accounting processes.
