Responsibilities
- Serve as Spotify’s primary partner for artists, labels, and other music partners across Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, building relationships that support artist development and long-term growth.
- Develop and execute a holistic music strategy for the Maghreb aligned with regional business goals and the region’s evolving music scene.
- Build artist partnerships and lead creative, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen artist-to-fan engagement on and off Spotify.
- Identify emerging artists, music trends, audience behaviors, and cultural movements across the Maghreb, providing actionable insights to regional and global teams and partners.
- Support and educate artists, labels, and their teams on Spotify tools, resources, and insights.
- Collaborate with regional Editorial teams and Genre Groups on priority releases and content opportunities.
- Represent Artist & Label Partnerships in high-impact regional and global projects.
- Connect Spotify teams with the music industry to identify and execute opportunities and help ensure a compelling content offering across the Maghreb.
- Travel regularly to Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in artist and label partnerships within a digital music service, record label, media, technology, or related music industry organization.
- Deep understanding of the music ecosystem across Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, with established relationships across artist and label communities.
- Understanding of Spotify’s role in the music industry, combining cultural judgment with data and audience insights to inform strategy.
- Knowledge of emerging music and audience movements across the Maghreb, including Moroccan pop, rap, and chaabi; Algerian raï; and Tunisian alternative music.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders, negotiating effectively, and building alignment.
- Ability to own complex projects in a fast-changing environment while balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution.
- Experience working across regional and global teams and navigating global-to-local structures.
- Fluency in English and French.
Nice-to-haves
- Arabic language skills, including Darija and/or other Maghreb dialects.
- Additional languages relevant to the region.
Work Arrangement
- Based in Dubai with flexibility to work from home and some in-person meetings.
