Staff Accountant
Owns day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting for a Cyprus-based MiFID-regulated financial services entity. The role requires at least three years of relevant accounting or finance experience, a bachelor's degree, and hands-on IFRS knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Own daily operational accounting for Coinbase Financial Services Europe Ltd (CBFSE), including recording journal entries, preparing supporting schedules, and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
- Execute daily reconciliation reporting and periodic regulatory submissions required by CySEC, the Central Bank of Cyprus, and applicable CIF frameworks.
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Source-to-Pay, and engineering teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and timely responses.
- Analyze business drivers to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and recommend process improvements that strengthen accounting operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance within a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF), Big Four firm, or financial services/fintech company.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Working knowledge of IFRS, with hands-on experience applying IFRS standards to operational accounting and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with CySEC and CIF regulatory reporting requirements, including interpreting and applying regulatory guidance to accounting processes.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Nice to Have
- ACCA, ACA, or CPA professional qualification.
- CySEC Advanced and/or AML Certificate.
- Proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, and G-Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and financial analysis.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: €36,100–€36,100 EUR.
- Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
