Role and Responsibilities
- Research trends, news, and conversations related to AI, technology, media, entertainment, and digital rights
- Assist with website maintenance, blog publishing, and content management
- Maintain and organize marketing, press, and communications assets (blogs, links, images, transcripts, trackers, etc.)
- Track and summarize press coverage, competitor activity, and key industry announcements
- Support marketing campaigns and communications
- Create simple visual assets using tools like Canva and/or Figma
- Assist with preparing marketing materials for product launches, events, and campaigns
- Maintain project trackers, documentation, and internal marketing resources
- Help review and quality-check marketing materials before publication
- Support ongoing marketing and communications workflows across the department
Required Qualifications
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Interest in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or related fields
- Comfortable managing documents, trackers, and shared folders
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment where priorities, processes, and responsibilities can evolve quickly
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, Canva, Figma, or project management tools
- Prior experience through coursework, internships, student organizations, or personal projects related to marketing, communications, or content creation

Details
Part-time (~20 hours/week). Ongoing engagement with potential for future full-time opportunities based on performance and business needs. Up to $20 per hour. Actual compensation offered will be determined by a number of factors including job-related knowledge, domain knowledge, skills, skill level, relevant years of experience, geographic location and interview performance.
