Social Media & Content Associate

Creates and publishes organic social content across Betterment’s business lines, translating financial topics, product launches, and brand moments into engaging posts and short-form video. Requires 2–3 years of social, digital marketing, or content experience plus strong writing, visual communication, and workflow-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive day-to-day social content workflows, including drafting copy, coordinating or creating creative assets, editing, shooting, routing content for reviews and approvals, and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Schedule and publish content using social management tools while meeting tagging, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor engagement and comments, flagging audience questions, trends, and potential risks by responding directly or routing issues to the appropriate team.
  • Pull weekly and monthly performance metrics to support reporting and optimization.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Communications to package product launches, research, and marketing initiatives into social-ready formats.
  • Contribute ideas during brainstorms and support timely content tied to market events and brand moments.
  • Stay current on social trends and identify opportunities across platforms.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation.
  • Experience managing day-to-day publishing across corporate social channels.
  • Experience creating social video, including short-form video and platform-native content.
  • Excellent writing and visual communication skills, with the ability to apply a consistent brand voice.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail while managing multiple platforms and priorities.
  • Familiarity with analytics and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Meta, and native platform insights.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, CapCut, Edits, or similar design tools.
  • Comfort using AI capabilities to ideate and execute content.
  • Knowledge of social best practices, including formatting, tagging, accessibility, and engagement norms.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $89,000–$99,500 for New York City.
  • Potential eligibility for a company incentive bonus.
