Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and thought partner for sophisticated public-sector customers, including federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define GenAI strategies, identify high-value applications, and build comprehensive AI roadmaps and backlogs.
- Design architectures using the OpenAI API and other foundational technologies and services.
- Build hands-on prototypes and provide strategic guidance to accelerate customer time to value.
- Collaborate with customer technical teams, subject-matter experts, systems integrators, implementation partners, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Global Affairs, Applied Research, and Product teams.
- Manage relationships with customer and implementation-partner leadership to support successful deployment and scaling.
- Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources.
- Scale the Deployment Engineering function by sharing knowledge, codifying best practices, and publishing notebooks.
- Deliver customer feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical consulting or equivalent experience with public-sector customers; U.S. federal experience preferred.
- Experience leading GenAI or traditional machine-learning implementations for government agencies.
- Experience collaborating with systems integrators and implementation partners.
- Understanding of network and cloud architecture, including on-premises deployments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business and technical concepts for varied audiences.
- Programming experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Ability to own problems end to end, manage multiple concurrent projects, and prioritize effectively.
- Humble, collaborative, and service-oriented approach.
