Finance Business Partner
Own the financial partnership for Gigs’ Connectivity team, supporting carrier negotiations, commitment management, cost forecasting, margin accuracy, and commercial pricing. The role requires 7+ years in commercial finance, FP&A, or strategy, strong modeling skills, and comfort with telecom or other complex cost environments.

Responsibilities
- Partner on global carrier negotiations by building financial cases for major carrier deals, including rate benchmarks, counter-proposals, walk-away points, and models covering wholesale rates, roaming zones, eSIM pricing, international calls, and ancillary fees.
- Model, track, and manage volume and revenue commitments across carrier agreements, identifying shortfalls and available mitigation levers before true-ups occur.
- Build and maintain connectivity cost forecasts across carriers and markets using subscriber growth, usage profiles, and contractual rate steps.
- Feed cost forecasts into company-level planning and pressure-test them against monthly actuals.
- Work with the Data team to ensure gross-margin reporting reflects contractual reality, including accurate rate cards, tiers, zones, promotions, and carrier-invoice reconciliation.
- Analyze end-user data, voice, and SMS usage across markets and translate usage profiles into pricing, allowance-design, and deal-structuring recommendations.
- Develop a working view of wholesale market dynamics, host networks, MVNO costs, rate trends, and regulatory changes affecting connectivity costs.
- Support commercial pricing decisions with floor prices, margin analysis, and scenario models.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or strategy roles with exposure to negotiations and unit economics.
- Experience in telecom, wholesale, marketplace, or infrastructure cost environments is a strong plus.
- Experience building persuasive financial models used in negotiations.
- Excellent Excel and Google Sheets skills, including work with large datasets, complex tiered rate structures, and forecasting.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude for modeling, with an understanding of their benefits and limitations.
- Familiarity with SQL or similar data tools and comfort working with data teams.
- Curiosity about telecom, roaming, wholesale agreements, and MVNO economics.
- Strong communication skills across engineering, negotiation, and finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across US and European time zones.
