Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy frontend and backend services for creative brainstorming and creation products
- Build web-based image and video creation / editing tools using emerging web standards
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs on AWS infrastructure
- Write secure, stable, and scalable Python code
- Interface with foundation models
- Integrate with Postgres, S3, Redis, and SQS to implement event streaming and processing logic
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Experience working closely with design to deliver engineering initiatives
- Strong focus on user experience and empowering creatives
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience developing scalable services using Python or Go
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with unit/integration tests, CI/CD, and functional tests (e.g., Playwright)
- Familiarity with WASM, WebSockets, IndexedDB, promises, generators, and coroutines
- Experience building and scaling cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes
- Experience architecting REST APIs for distributed systems
