Procurement Sourcing Specialist

Own sourcing, vendor negotiations, purchasing workflows, and spend analysis across multiple categories while partnering with Legal, Security, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders. Requires 2+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, negotiation skills, strong finance fundamentals, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vendor sourcing and negotiations across multiple spend categories, including pricing, discounts, payment terms, ramps, and renewal protections.
  • Run competitive sourcing events such as RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes; prepare bid comparisons and recommendations.
  • Prepare negotiations using benchmarks, usage data, and defined walk-away positions; document outcomes and savings.
  • Own category renewal calendars and proactively prevent surprise auto-renewals.
  • Manage purchase requests through the intake-to-pay process, coordinating with Legal, Security, IT, and Finance.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, including documentation, tax forms, banking verification, and supplier records.
  • Maintain auditable transaction records, including approvals, agreements, and negotiation history.
  • Analyze spend data to identify consolidation opportunities, duplicate or underused tools, pricing outliers, and category trends.
  • Report on savings, cost avoidance, cycle time, and spend under management.
  • Support budget planning with category-level spend insights and renewal forecasts.
  • Improve procurement guidance, turnaround times, self-service, and internal buying experiences.
  • Advise stakeholders on procurement policies, thresholds, and purchasing processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sourcing, procurement, or strategic purchasing experience, including hands-on vendor negotiation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong finance fundamentals and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Internal customer-service orientation with clear, responsive communication.
  • Self-direction, prioritization, follow-through, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in an evolving function and fast-moving industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including credibility with senior vendor counterparts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sourcing experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with procure-to-pay, contract lifecycle management, enterprise resource planning, and spend visibility tools.
  • Knowledge of contract terms and third-party risk concepts, including DPAs, GDPR, SOC 2, security reviews, insurance requirements, and AI/data-use terms.
  • Experience supporting global, multi-entity businesses, including multi-currency purchasing, international suppliers, and regional tax or invoicing requirements.
