Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data web applications, AI chatbots, and operational interfaces hosted on Databricks Apps.
- Develop frontend interfaces and API backends using technologies such as Streamlit, React, and FastAPI.
- Build dashboards and enterprise chat solutions powered by the Mosaic AI Agent Framework.
- Design application architectures that meet go-to-market requirements for custom SaaS applications.
- Connect applications to Databricks SQL through the Statement Execution API or Databricks SDK.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines with Declarative Automation Bundles (Databricks Asset Bundles) across development, staging, and production workspaces.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into intuitive interfaces and troubleshoot deployment errors and telemetry logs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, data application developer, or full-stack engineer building interactive web applications.
- Proficiency in full-stack Python, Databricks SQL, and/or Node.js.
- Experience with Streamlit, Dash, Flask, FastAPI, React, or Express.
- Experience building scalable and secure applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, and secure OAuth flows.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, the Databricks SDK for Python, and Model Serving.
- Experience integrating data, Genie, and large language model frameworks into application backends.
- Experience delivering conversational or voice-driven analytics solutions.
- Experience with Databricks Asset Bundles and the broader Databricks ecosystem.
Compensation
- Base salary range varies by location: $100,000–$137,500 (Zone 4), $106,300–$146,200 (Zone 3), $112,600–$154,750 (Zone 2), or $125,000–$171,950 (Zone 1) USD.
- Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
