Software Engineer Intern, Fullstack

Fullstack software engineering intern building user-facing products with web technologies, testing, code reviews, and continuous delivery. Candidates must be pursuing a computer science degree in Canada and available for a Summer 2027 Toronto internship.

Responsibilities

  • Own projects while collaborating with team members through regular questions and updates.
  • Improve code quality through progressive refactoring.
  • Ensure reliability with unit, integration, and load testing.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and deployment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science at a Canadian university, graduating between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
  • Master's students with prior work between bachelor's and master's programs must have less than 2 years of relevant full-time experience.
  • Available for a Summer 2027 internship in Toronto.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React.
  • Experience with frontend testing tools such as Webpack, Babel, Jest, Jasmine, Protractor, and WebDriver.
  • Understanding of browsers and the DOM.
  • Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems, browser developer tools, and the Unix command line.
  • Understanding of web performance and testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
  • Experience with TypeScript and CSS preprocessors such as Sass.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a startup environment.

  • Experience with databases, mobile development, and real-time technology problems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • CAD $40–$45 per hour (approximately CAD $83,200–$93,600 annualized).
