Responsibilities
- Contribute high-quality, well-tested code to the application modernization platform, frameworks, and surrounding services.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to deliver the product roadmap.
- Participate in code and design reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed-systems issues.
- Build automated frameworks for functional equivalence, performance benchmarking, data integrity, unit-test generation, and contract testing.
- Support CI/CD, quality, testing, and development infrastructure.
- Deliver large-scale features across the technology stack and independently own complex features.
- Contribute to recruiting and interviewing new team members.
Requirements
- 4 years of commercial software development experience.
- Experience with at least one JVM language, such as Java, preferably with the Spring ecosystem.
- Expertise integrating large language models into developer workflows for automated unit-test generation and edge-case discovery.
- Experience building developer tools, infrastructure, or complex testing frameworks.
- Strong software architecture and development experience.
- Experience designing application/database modernization frameworks that validate database-state equivalence across implementations.
- Understanding of change data capture, event-driven database interception, MongoDB listeners, RDBMS triggers, and state-comparison algorithms with pattern-based exclusions.
- Strong Spring Boot or equivalent Java framework, MongoDB or equivalent document database, and JDBC/JPA skills.
- Experience with relational and document data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with at least one SQL database and one document database.
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and time and space complexity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with distributed systems and restrictive client environments.
- Experience leveraging LLMs for software testing and developer productivity.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role based in the India office in Gurgaon.
