Senior Manager, Product Design
Leads a distributed product design team delivering AI-powered communication, messaging, and automation workflows. Requires 9+ years of product design experience, 3+ years managing designers, strong design craft, and experience with AI-native product experiences.

Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop 8–12 product designers across US- and India-based teams.
- Lead design execution for AI-powered workflows spanning product and revenue experiences, including communication, messaging, and automation.
- Connect customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and product strategy across AI workflow surfaces.
- Set expectations for quality, accountability, collaboration, communication, and delivery.
- Prioritize work, resolve ambiguity, clarify blockers and decisions, and maintain workstream visibility.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, design leadership, and senior design leadership on roadmaps, tradeoffs, and outcomes.
- Lead critiques, coaching conversations, quality reviews, and launch-readiness discussions.
- Improve usability, accessibility, interaction quality, visual consistency, design-system alignment, and AI-assisted experiences.
- Hire, onboard, and develop designers; create development plans and manage performance.
- Use AI-powered tools for exploration, prototyping, synthesis, documentation, and production collaboration.
Requirements
- 9+ years of relevant product design, UX, or product experience work.
- 3+ years managing product designers.
- Experience managing designers in complex B2B SaaS, platform, workflow-heavy, or multi-product environments.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating product judgment, systems thinking, customer empathy, high-quality execution, and measurable impact.
- Strong visual and interaction design judgment.
- Strong individual-contributor management skills, including focus, accountability, coaching, and unblocking.
- Excellent communication, critique, coaching, feedback, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns, and scalable product experiences.
- Strong product judgment and comfort balancing customer needs, business outcomes, technical constraints, and execution speed.
- Experience designing AI-native experiences such as conversational interfaces, automation, agentic workflows, or generative communication tools.
- Experience hiring, developing, and performance-managing designers.
- Experience managing distributed teams across time zones; experience with India-based teams is valuable.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted production tools.

- Experience with B2B SaaS, platform, CRM, marketing technology, workflow-heavy, or SMB software.
- Experience using AI-powered tools for design exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis, documentation, or workflow acceleration.
