Software Engineer, Full-Stack
Build and operate foundational backend and frontend systems, owning projects from architecture through deployment and user impact measurement. The role requires strong production full-stack experience, deep fluency in a high-level language, cloud and Kubernetes familiarity, and comfort working autonomously in a high-growth environment.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Build and extend foundational systems across the full stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces.
- Own projects end to end, including product and architectural decisions, deployment, monitoring, and measuring user impact.
- Work autonomously while collaborating with a lean, high-trust team.
- Tackle complex domains at scale using simple, well-crafted solutions.
- Proactively identify improvements across the codebase and product.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with production-grade work across backend and frontend systems.
- Experience personally developing and maintaining multiple systems from scratch.
- Understanding of trade-offs involved in building reliable, performant software at speed.
- Ability to build complete products and move across the stack as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a first-principles mindset.
- Comfort working on ambiguous problems with autonomy.
- Deep fluency in at least one high-level programming language; Python and TypeScript are used, but depth matters more than a specific language.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud, and containerized deployment with Kubernetes.
- Experience building at scale in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to machine learning workflows or ML infrastructure.
