Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end monthly revenue accounting close, including usage reviews, journal entries, flux analyses, account reconciliations, and analytics.
- Apply ASC 606 to customer contracts, assess non-standard terms, document accounting conclusions, and interpret evolving policies.
- Pull, validate, and troubleshoot contract, system, and transaction data.
- Identify manual processes and build or champion automation using SQL queries, scripts, workflow improvements, or engineering partnerships.
- Use AI tools and large language models to accelerate accounting and analysis tasks.
- Prepare financial reporting metrics, financial statement disclosures, and ad hoc management analyses.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing, FP&A, and FDS teams.
- Support audits by preparing schedules, documenting controls, participating in walkthroughs, and liaising with auditors.
- Drive process improvements that accelerate close timelines and reduce risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
- 5+ years of combined public accounting and/or corporate revenue accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with quote-to-cash processes, including order review, contract creation, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Ability to independently pull reports, trace transactions through systems, and validate outputs.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce.
- Professional experience using AI tools such as LLMs, copilots, or scripting assistants.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Database and SQL experience.
- Experience identifying inefficiencies and building or advocating for automation solutions.
Compensation
- Zone 1 salary range: $122,400–$168,300 USD.
- Compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
