Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will own key close, revenue accounting, financial reporting, audit, and process improvement activities while partnering with the Controller. The role requires a CPA, an accounting bachelor’s degree, 4–6 years of corporate accounting experience, and expertise in US GAAP and SaaS accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Own significant portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger and sub-ledger accounts after each monthly close.
  • Reconcile the deferred revenue waterfall and support revenue recognition reviews under ASC 606.
  • Collaborate with RevOps to ensure customer invoices match contracts.
  • Support US GAAP financial statement preparation, perform financial statement analytics, and investigate variances.
  • Assist with audit readiness, the fiscal year-end financial statement audit, and coordination with external tax accountants on PBC requests.
  • Establish internal controls and accounting best practices.
  • Maintain the accounting playbook.
  • Contribute to ERP and systems assessment, design, and implementation.
  • Assist with maintaining the Ramp spend management platform.

Requirements

  • CPA designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 4 to 6 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles, including ASC 606, ASC 842, stock-based compensation, and SaaS revenue recognition.
  • Experience with financial reporting and SaaS metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI to streamline workflows and improve processes.

  • Hands-on systems implementation experience.
