Technical Account Manager
Owns the post-sales technical relationship for strategic enterprise customers, providing architectural guidance, incident leadership, cost optimization, and cross-functional coordination. Responsibilities
- Own the post-sales technical relationship for a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts as the named technical owner.
- Run customer cadences including weekly check-ins, monthly business reviews, quarterly QBRs, and annual roadmap workshops.
- Lead post-incident pattern ownership, technical triage, post-mortems, architectural root-cause analysis, and remediation roadmaps.
- Respond within 4 business hours to P1/P2 escalations routed to the role.
- Drive proactive technical strategy, cost optimization, architectural guidance, technical risk mapping, pre-launch readiness assessments, and roadmap planning.
- Scope and coordinate Forward Deployed Engineering and Professional Services engagements, track outcomes, and integrate them into customer technical roadmaps.
- Represent customer technical needs internally to Product, Engineering, and Support, and hold teams accountable to commitments.
- Carry primary accountability for annual renewal of the TAM engagement.
Requirements
- 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles at a platform, infrastructure, or developer tools company, including Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, Developer Success Engineering, Customer Support Engineering, Field Engineering, or hands-on technical consulting.
- Experience personally owning customer relationships at the $1M+ ACV tier, including QBRs, roadmap workshops, procurement, legal processes, and renewals.
- Deep production experience with Next.js and the Vercel platform.
- Experience architecting, debugging, and optimizing production systems built on Vercel.
- Fluency with App Router internals, ISR, caching strategies, Fluid Compute, the AI SDK, and Vercel cost optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical outcomes across Engineering, Product, and Support without formal authority.
- Strong written communication for executive and incident contexts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Customer-funded, billable role with a portfolio of no more than eight concurrent accounts.
- No on-call responsibility, production coding, or sales quota.
- Located within the EMEA region; office anchor days may apply in London or Berlin for employees within commuting distance.
