Responsibilities
- Lead strategic product design initiatives across HopSkipDrive’s product portfolio using systems thinking.
- Define scalable UX patterns, design standards, design systems, and accessible components across products.
- Conduct strategic design research, synthesize user feedback and data, and translate findings into actionable product decisions.
- Use AI tools to accelerate discovery and research synthesis, evaluate AI-powered product opportunities, and apply human judgment to AI outputs.
- Design AI-powered features with clear interaction patterns, error states, and edge-case handling.
- Create end-to-end designs from conceptual exploration through detailed interaction and visual design.
- Mentor designers, facilitate workshops and critiques, and help establish effective AI-tool practices.
- Communicate design rationale and strategy to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Own outcomes for significant product areas and measure success through user and business metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives end to end.
- Advanced UX/UI design skills, strong visual execution, and proficiency in end-to-end design.
- Experience establishing design standards, best practices, and scalable design systems.
- Experience with complex prototyping, usability testing, accessibility, and design for mobile and web platforms.
- Ability to integrate user research and data analysis into strategic product decisions.
- Experience mentoring designers and facilitating design critiques and workshops.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for discovery, research synthesis, and prototyping.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $135,000–$163,000 annually; final compensation varies by location, experience, skills, certifications, and work location.
