Full Stack Software Engineer - Growth
Build and test full-stack growth features that improve reader activation, retention, and creator success on Substack. The role requires at least three years of software engineering experience, product ownership, and familiarity with TypeScript, Node/Express, React, and Postgres.

Responsibilities
- Develop features that help writers make more money on Substack.
- Design and run experiments to improve sign-up conversion, first-action completion, and D1/D7 retention across acquisition surfaces such as organic search, App Store browsing, creator-shared links, and paid campaigns.
- Build tools and features that help new creators find an audience and establish a publishing habit.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, support staff, and other partners from product concept and research through implementation and deployment.
- Own work autonomously and operate as a leader on production systems.

Compensation and Benefits
- Cash compensation salary range: $140,000–$260,000.
