About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain intuitive, reusable, user-friendly web interfaces backed by scalable backend systems and APIs.
  • Implement and optimize systems that provide customer observability into an event-based platform.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to build applications supporting marketers and communication channels.
  • Improve code quality through code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices.
  • Identify and address technical debt to maintain long-term codebase health.
  • Contribute to technical decisions and evaluate emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience focused on frontend systems.
  • Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript, including modern frontend patterns, performance optimization, and responsive UI development.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable, customer-facing, high-performance applications.
  • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience using agentic AI coding tools with sound engineering judgment.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of software development best practices, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Experience with React Testing Library and Playwright.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, or Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, Storybook, Radix UI, Vite, esbuild, DynamoDB, Airflow, Redis, AWS, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
  • Familiarity with Istio, Datadog, Terraform, Cloudflare, Helm, Python, Metaflow, Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Pandas.

Compensation and Benefits

  • US base salary: $135,000–$170,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
  • Benefits include health and wellness perks.
