Software Engineer - Stack Tooling

Responsibilities

• Combine different autonomy verticals under a single, unified simulation interface.
• Integrate with neural-rendering simulation software to enable dynamic environments and bridge fidelity gaps.
• Improve hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation testing fidelity to strengthen release-gating signals.
• Stabilize, generalize, and scale code deployment and offboard vehicle pre-checks to reduce vehicle-operations idle time before on-road testing.
• Refactor complex mapping workflows into a streamlined pipeline involving an offboard configuration-management service.
• Integrate perception snapshots performantly into simulation to improve resimulation fidelity.
• Execute cross-functional projects supporting autonomy developers, systems engineers, and triage and release teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade code.
• Strong foundational programming experience in C++.
• Experience maintaining critical-path developer tooling infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and/or managing resources in customer environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Robotics or another autonomy-related engineering field.
• Experience with data-pipelining architectures, map validity, or metrics and evaluation frameworks.
• Exposure to software simulation tooling and reinforcement-learning-based, physics-based, or reconstruction-based simulation runtimes.
• Experience with perception modeling, planning, controls, or other onboard robotics functions.
• Experience working with automotive OEMs, autonomous vehicles, or robotic development platforms.
