Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end, from ideation and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
- Build and ship 0-to-1 products and systems, turning ambiguous ideas into scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Architect and develop customer experiences using TypeScript, AWS Lambda, Next.js, and other frameworks and languages.
- Design, write, and execute tests for robust, reliable applications.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance database models.
- Develop and maintain APIs for public and internal use, including APIs supporting mobile applications and other systems.
- Improve the Marketplace platform in collaboration with product teams.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to identify needs and formulate solutions.
- Contribute to system design, platform management, code reviews, capacity planning, and architectural decisions.
- Own production systems, including monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvement.
- Operate autonomously while identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency with TypeScript for robust, scalable applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to propose new approaches.
- Understanding of Agile practices and flexibility in evolving project environments.
- Experience with early- to mid-stage technology startups.
- Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building scalable software with AWS technologies.
- Experience with double-entry ledgers, payments, and money movement.
- Experience owning services end-to-end, including infrastructure maintenance.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability tools.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $190,000–$220,000, depending on experience, interview performance, and location.
