Forward Deployed Engineer
This forward-deployed engineer resolves live customer issues across the full stack while building AI-powered support tools and automations for healthcare clinics. The role requires 3+ years of production software experience, strong customer communication, and hands-on LLM feature development.

Responsibilities
- Prioritize and manage competing support requests and projects to keep clinics running smoothly, escalating critical issues appropriately.
- Answer support tickets, join calls with clinics, and resolve issues across the full stack, including FastAPI/Python backend and Next.js/TypeScript frontend.
- Reproduce, identify root causes, and resolve bugs while closing the loop directly with customers.
- Debug production issues using logs, tenant data, and session replays while maintaining privacy and data boundaries.
- Build AI-powered features that help clinic staff configure settings in plain English, generate reports, and get in-product assistance.
- Design and implement agent workflows, prompt engineering, retrieval, evaluations, and guardrails to ensure reliable and safe automations.
- Build internal tools to streamline ticket triage, suggest root causes, draft grounded replies, and prepare fixes for approval.
- Identify patterns in incoming issues and create automations or product features that reduce manual support.
- Talk directly to customers, learn how clinics operate, and translate feedback into automations and product improvements.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with both technical teammates and non-technical customers.
- Ability to multitask, context-switch, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong prioritization skills and judgment about urgent versus important issues.
- 3+ years shipping production software, ideally in SaaS or startups.
- Hands-on experience responding to customer issues, debugging under pressure, and supporting a live, business-critical platform.
- Experience building LLM-powered features, including agents, prompt design, retrieval, tool or function calling, and evaluations.
- Ability to build end to end across Python, TypeScript, and SQL/Postgres.
- Strong ownership, follow-through, and bias toward closing loops.

- Experience in healthcare, EHR, or another regulated industry.
- Background in support, solutions, or forward-deployed engineering.
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience.
