Responsibilities

  • Design consumer-facing experiences for gaming culture and creator-driven communities.
  • Own product areas end to end, including core player flows and the design system.
  • Design polished, accessible experiences across desktop and mobile.
  • Ship and iterate closely with engineers through frequent product improvements.
  • Build, scale, and maintain design systems, including tokens, components, documentation, and production alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of design-system components.

Requirements

  • 4+ years designing consumer-facing digital products, ideally for social or creator-driven platforms.
  • Strong product judgment, user-problem orientation, prioritization, and ability to make tradeoffs.
  • Holistic product sense across core product loops, onboarding, and retention experiences.
  • Iterative product-development approach, including post-launch follow-up.
  • Hands-on design-systems expertise, including tokens, components, documentation, and maintaining systems from the ground up.
  • Deep Figma expertise, including component architecture, variables, and auto layout.
  • Experience designing for both desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Understanding of platform-specific UX patterns and accessibility best practices.
  • Passion for games and gaming communities, including their language and social dynamics.
  • Ability to work in person in New York City five days per week.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing for communities, content creation, or real-time interaction products such as Discord, Twitch, or TikTok.
