Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Front End

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support easy-to-use React/TypeScript applications.
• Set standards for accessibility and design system use.
• Make technology decisions that support business needs without compromising security, privacy, or quality.
• Enhance existing systems with new functionality and improve performance, stability, quality, and security.
• Advocate for high standards, improve developer quality of life, and limit technical debt.
• Maintain a user-centric mindset and develop deep user empathy.
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional product delivery teams, including design, product, machine learning, and infrastructure.
• Mentor and learn from other engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting web applications.
• 5+ years of experience with React.
• Experience independently delivering a small web application or an entire feature in a larger web application.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and potentially Electron.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work across domains and languages and learn new technologies.
• Deep expertise using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with audio playback, audio recording, file encryption, or online/offline mode support on the web.
