Principal Program Manager, Go-To-Market
Leads high-stakes product and technical marketing launches and a portfolio of cross-functional go-to-market programs. Responsibilities
- Run a concurrent portfolio of Product & Technical Marketing-dependent initiatives with clear owners, dates, and tradeoffs.
- Provide leadership with risks, options, context, and recommendations to support decisions.
- Align go-to-market functions when workstreams compete for resources.
- Codify program frameworks so each cycle improves on the last.
- Ensure quality in market-facing work and confirm deliverables land as intended.
- Convert recurring coordination into shared AI workflows.
- Partner with Marketing's AI Transformation Owner on department-wide adoption and governance.
- Escalate early with a clear ask when decisions sit above the working team.
- Protect focus through smaller core teams, fewer standing meetings, and more working sessions.
- Review results with the data team and apply learnings to future programs.
- Orchestrate minor and major product launches, signal announcements, product-to-marketing handoffs, field enablement, launch planning, post-launch adoption, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Experience managing go-to-market programs in the high-tech industry.
- First-hand experience leading complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Experience building and scaling program operations in large, distributed organizations, with measurable results.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents and production automations used by real teams.
- Track record of converting manual work into AI workflows and driving adoption.
- Ability to establish launch and program frameworks without adding unnecessary process.
- Strong understanding of product releases and their impact on go-to-market teams.
- Bias toward action, with the ability to define risks and clear options for moving forward.
- Experience measuring success through pipeline, adoption, or consumption rather than activity volume.
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams while maintaining quality and trust.
- Clear executive communication and the ability to drive decisions across competing priorities.
- Ability to influence without direct authority, including with senior leaders.
- Fluency with project tools and AI automation, plus the ability to use GitLab.
- Ability to travel as needed and comply with company travel policy.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $203,200–$345,600.
