Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and scale Legal Engineer Managers — Product Specialists and their organisations serving law firm and in-house customers.
- Build systems, processes, and operating mechanisms that enable Legal Engineering to deliver exceptional customer outcomes at scale.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to align priorities and drive execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor to law firm and in-house legal leaders and an influential partner to senior stakeholders.
- Drive organisational performance through planning, resource management, talent development, and operational excellence.
- Help define the future of Legal Engineering and how the company partners with law firms and corporate legal departments.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 9+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a leading company, with significant client-facing experience.
- Experience leading managers and manager-led organisations, not solely individual contributors.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Experience owning organisational systems, processes, and operating models.
- Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships and drive results across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong track record of managing upward and influencing senior leaders.
- Experience representing an organisation externally and building trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, and a strong understanding of law firms and in-house legal teams.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading teams outside a traditional law firm or in-house hierarchy.
- Experience in legal technology, professional services, consulting, legal innovation, legal operations, or other customer-facing organisations.
- Experience operating in a high-growth technology company.
- Experience leading globally distributed or pan-EMEA teams.
- Ability to create structure and drive execution in rapidly evolving environments.
- Experience across multiple legal practice areas or with a broad range of law firm and in-house stakeholders.
