Own complex telephony integrations and enterprise technical support, debugging SIP/RTP call issues and improving reliability. Requires 5+ years of telephony or low-latency networking experience, strong networking fundamentals, and scripting ability.

Responsibilities
- Own technical success for telephony integrations and collaborate with customers on complex SIP integrations with CCaaS/CPaaS platforms, including NICE, Five9, Avaya, Genesys, Amazon Connect, Twilio, and Telnyx.
- Drive future platform integrations and seamless post-onboarding experiences.
- Investigate and debug call failures using PCAP analysis, SIP traces, and carrier logs to improve reliability.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for enterprise clients after onboarding.
- Translate customer feedback and technical friction points into actionable product improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Telephony Engineer, VoIP Engineer, or in an equivalent low-latency networking role.
- Deep understanding of SIP, including RFC 3261, and RTP media troubleshooting.
- Experience diagnosing voice-quality issues with PCAPs and trace tools such as Wireshark or TShark.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with modern CPaaS or cloud communications platforms such as Twilio, Plivo, or Telnyx.
- Ability to write or modify basic Python, Bash, or JavaScript scripts to automate troubleshooting.
- Excellent client communication skills and ability to guide premium clients through complex technical setups.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, or other SIP proxies or SIP servers.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $6,000–$7,500 USD per month, based on experience.
- Full-time or part-time 1099 contractor engagement.
- Must be available for some overlapping hours with the Pacific Time team and customers.
