Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of high-quality software projects, coordinating with teammates and stakeholders to meet mutually agreed timelines.
  • Contribute across specification, implementation, code review, QA testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Seek context and rapidly iterate on solutions to eliminate ambiguity and drive projects forward.
  • Participate actively in engineering recruiting, including interviewing, problem specification, and role ownership.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and ask for help to unblock progress.

Requirements

  • A four-year technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong emphasis on individual contribution.
  • Proficiency in modern TypeScript and React, with familiarity with Python, REST APIs, and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of frontend development tradeoffs, including state management, rendering performance, and component architecture.
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems and reusable, styled component libraries at scale.
  • Strong testing practices and thoughtful opinions on what to test and why.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, execute independently, and communicate clearly and calmly in a fast-paced startup environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Cash salary range: $160,000–$240,000.
