Senior Product Manager, Enterprise & Deployments
Own the identity, access, enterprise security, and deployment roadmap for the dbt platform, partnering with engineering, infrastructure, security, compliance, and enterprise customers. The role requires 5+ years of product management experience and hands-on expertise in authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant SaaS deployments.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for identity, access, and deployment across the dbt platform, from authentication primitives to customer-facing administration.
- Improve enterprise security capabilities including SSO, SCIM, RBAC, and PrivateLink.
- Lead the migration of enterprise customers from single-tenant to multi-tenant deployment models, including account domain and subdomain changes.
- Determine requirements for expansion into new geographies and cloud providers, including data residency, regional isolation, and cloud-provider parity.
- Improve login, sign-up, and account discovery experiences.
- Enable administrators to self-serve user, group, invitation, provisioning, de-provisioning, and permission management.
- Represent the product in enterprise security reviews and convert recurring blockers into roadmap initiatives.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams on telemetry and observability.
Success Measures
- Enterprise security and architecture reviews no longer stall deals because product capabilities and answers are documented.
- Sign-up and login conversion improve while authentication-related support volume decreases.
- Enterprise administrators can provision, de-provision, and audit users without support involvement.
- Engineering leadership relies on the product manager to set direction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, including meaningful work on identity, access management, security, or infrastructure products.
- Direct experience shipping authentication and authorization capabilities, including SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC, and identity providers.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS deployment models, tenancy, isolation, regional expansion, and migration paths.
- Strong technical foundation and ability to collaborate as a peer with engineering and participate in architecture and design reviews.
- Experience with enterprise customers, especially security and platform teams, and translating their feedback into prioritized product work.
- Excellent written communication and ability to explain security decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working asynchronously on a distributed team.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience at an identity provider such as Okta, Auth0, or Entra, or on identity, access, or deployment products at AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience shipping private networking capabilities such as PrivateLink, VPC peering, or customer-managed network isolation.
- Experience working with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR, or data-residency requirements as a product owner.
- Experience migrating a large customer base between deployment or tenancy models.
- Background in telemetry and observability for platform services.
- Hands-on experience with dbt, analytics engineering, or modern data warehouses.
Compensation and Benefits
- Denver pay range: $188,496–$235,620 USD.
- 100% employer-paid medical insurance.
- Paid time off, paid sick time, inclusive parental leave, holidays, a year-end Global Week of Rest, and volunteer days.
- RSU stock grants.
- Professional development and training opportunities.
- Virtual social events, free food, and team-building activities.
- Monthly cell phone stipend.
